Information Complex – Scientific Library Departments
The Rare books department was founded 1991 as a stand-alone unit to collect, study, descript and preserve the cultural heritage deposited in the library collection. The University Libraries Document Conservation Center of the RSUH Information Complex – Scientific Library restores rare and valuable documents from the library collection; organizes training and tution of the university libraries’ restorers; developes learning programs and methodological materials; renders methodological and advisory support to university libraries upon different directions of document conservation; carries out complex expertizes of university libraries’ collections; organizes emergency aid to the libraries in accidental situations and others.
